The experience

Visiting Emilia-Romagna and not visiting Ravenna is considered a cultural “crime.” A wonderful city with an ancient and glorious past behind it, chosen three times as capital by three different rulers…something magnificent must be there.

The Romans, Goths and Byzantines left Ravenna a priceless treasure, a symbol that we find today exported all over the world but, the original and most beautiful ones are here. What are we talking about? Obviously of the Mosaics.

They testify to its importance and today are magnificently preserved in its ancient early Christian and Byzantine buildings, included in the UNESCO World Heritage List for the universal value, uniqueness and artistry of their mosaic art.

The visit will allow visitors to discover 4 wonders: Basilica of Sant’Apollinare Nuovo, Mausoleum of Galla Placidia, Basilica of San Vitale, and Neonian Baptistery, in which the traveler will make great leaps in time linked by a single common thread, the mosaic.

But the unique experience will be at the end of this immersion for the eyes and the heart: a workshop in the exclusive company of mosaic artisans who will teach the cycle of creating mosaic works, from the choice of materials, to their cutting to the creation of the product, to allow you to create a personal mosaic that you can take home as a souvenir of this unforgettable day in Romagna.
