ANCI Formazione in Comune - ITALEA Webinar on roots tourism

ITALAEA, the program promoted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and funded by NextGenerationEU, aims to encourage roots tourism, involving Italians abroad and Italian-descendants in rediscovering their origins. The initiative aims to create a strong link between Italian communities in the world and Italian territories, promoting the economic and cultural development of local administrations.

Italea Emilia-Romagna is one of the regional declinations of this project, with the task of enhancing the local heritage and traditions, creating new opportunities for municipalities.


A webinar for municipalities: Roots tourism as an opportunity

On February 4, 2025, from 10:00 to 12:00, the ITALEA Webinar on roots tourism will be held, an event organized as part of the ANCI Formazione in Comune program.

Webinar objectives:

  • To present the activities and services offered by ITALAEA Emilia-Romagna.
  • Illustrate how roots tourism can become a strategic tool for the revival of the territory.

Who is it for?

  • Representatives of local administrations.
  • Heads of the Environment, Territory and Productive Activities offices.

What will you learn during the webinar?

The ITALEA Webinar on roots tourism includes the intervention of experts and referents who will illustrate:

  • How to connect with communities of Italians abroad to enhance local traditions.
  • Strategies to increase the visibility of landscape, cultural and gastronomic beauties.
  • Support for the creation of tourist itineraries based on the family and cultural origins of visitors.
