The experience
The Orsanti Museum, with its enchanting atmosphere, is an authentic treasure located in the heart of the village of Vigoleno, capable of transporting travelers who visit it back in time, revealing the exciting stories of the Orsanti and their fascinating migration in search of a new life. This museum, in addition to preserving the history, faces and testimonies of these wandering artists through rich and engaging exhibits, invites travelers to discover the exploits of the Orsanti. For the most part, the comedians came from the Ceno Valley and the Taro Valley. Their specialties were performances in the streets and fairs, playing and showing off more or less trained monkeys, dogs, birds, bears and camels.

How to get there
To reach Vigoleno the easiest way is by car, as it is located along the Via dei Castelli del Ducato di Parma e Piacenza, among the hills. If you are coming from Milan (A1) you will have to take the Fiorenzuola D’Arda exit and follow the signs for Parma. After Alseno, at the first roundabout, turn right and follow the signs for “Vigoleno”. If, on the other hand, you are coming from Bologna, you will have to take the “Fidenza” exit, follow the ring road to Piacenza and, after about 4 km, take the third exit of the roundabout and follow the signs for “Vigoleno”.
