The Festival of Forgotten Fruits is an opportunity to discover the flavors of the fruits of the past and immerse yourself in the rural world of the Romagna hills. On the second and third weekends of October, the festival offers tastings, cooking workshops, themed meetings and shows, among the stands of a large 0 km farmer’s market, set up in the tones of autumn. Colorful fruits with an authentic scent and wild herbs displayed by local producers in their natural state or prepared according to typical recipes.
The program is enriched by the “forgotten” games of tradition, demonstration of ancient crafts, tasting of wines from native vines, exhibitions and excursions through the landscapes of the Vena del Gesso, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
On the occasion of the year of Italian roots: workshop for the collection of wild herbs and forgotten fruits and cooking lesson – show, in the company of the azdore casolane, the housewives, who will teach how to knead and roll out the dough.

How to get there
The Municipality of Casola Valsenio can be reached by taking the A14 motorway to the Imola and Faenza exits. Exit at Imola (BO) and take the Via Emilia in the direction of Rimini to Castelbolognese where you turn right onto SP 306 for about 16 km. Exiting at Faenza (RA), take the Via Emilia in the direction of Bologna until you reach Castelbolognese, where you turn left onto the SP 306. After about 16 kilometers (10 miles) you reach Riolo Terme.
