The prestigious Folco Quilici Award for short films has announced its second edition, which will be held in 2024 during the International Film Festival. The event, organized by Cineclub Fedic Delta del Po in collaboration with various institutions and cultural bodies, will take place in the evocative locations of Comacchio and Ferrara.
The competition will see the participation of short films from all over the world, highlighting the section “best film made by citizens of Emilia-Romagna residing abroad”, which will be evaluated by a jury of experts in the film industry. The audience will have the opportunity to cast their vote for the best short film at the end of each evening of screenings.
The final evening and award ceremony will be held on 13 September in the multipurpose hall of Palazzo Bellini in Comacchio, in the presence of illustrious guests from the world of cinema and Brando Quilici, director and son of Folco Quilici, who will have the honour of awarding the prizes to the winners.
Participants in the competition are invited to send their works by electronic mail by June 30, 2024, scrupulously following the instructions detailed in the official announcement. This event not only celebrates the emerging talent in the field of short films, but also the memory and legacy of Folco Quilici, a leading figure in the Italian film scene.
