Casa Artusi, a centre of gastronomic culture dedicated to Italian domestic cuisine, welcomes Italea Emilia-Romagna for a visit experience on the theme of the “journey to the roots”. It will do so next Friday, June 28 from 5 p.m., with the meeting with the roots tourism promotion program launched by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation as part of the PNRR project and funded by NextGenerationEU.

For years, Casa Artusi has been collaborating with Italian and Emilia-Romagna migrant associations around the world to promote Italian cuisine and the influence that Pellegrino Artusi has had on Italian culture abroad. For this reason, it came naturally to him to welcome an initiative like that of Italea which wants to promote the return of Italians to their homelands to rediscover the uses, customs, products, recipes and traditions of their roots.

Participants, who can register for free to the event, will be able to visit Casa Artusi discovering the fascinating story of the Forlimpopoli gastronome and author of the most translated cooking manual in the world, they will also be able to witness the preparation of a recipe strongly evocative for the Romagna culture such as the piadina in collaboration with the Mariette Association and taste it freshly made with a glass of local wine. This is followed by participation in the event “Aperitivi a corte”, the review of the Artusian festival in Casa Artusi which on June 28 will see as guests the Consorzio Mortadella Bologna IGP and the researcher Chiara Murru, University for Foreigners of Siena. This will be followed by an evocative and exciting musical performance to take a dip in the popular roots of Romagna by the orchestra (chamber) of the School of Popular Music of Forlimpopoli. (AISE)
